Dear [FIRSTNAME],

I wanted to personally make you aware of the recently issued Microsoft Security Advisory: 972890

This new Windows vulnerability is dangerous, has no patch yet and is being aggressively exploited in the wild.
Several Anti-Virus companies have reported they expect this vulnerability will be persistent and exploited for some time so it's customers should take extra precautions.

I wanted to highlight a few points to keep you protected:

  1. Make sure your anti-virus scanners are installed on all your PCs, up-to-date and enabled!
  2. We recommend that you download and use the latest version of FireFox as (in my opinion) it is generally more secure than Internet Explorer.
  3. Although there is no Patch from Microsoft, they have released a Knowledgebase article showing you how to implement a work-around in the mean time:

For more information, please read the article on the McAffee Blogs regarding the advisory:

Shabat shalom

Marc
