Welcome!

Dear [FIRSTNAME],
April’s over! And Hopefully with it, the rain. Those of you who manage IT for your organizations will have patched your systems against the latest vulrabilities, helped Finance complete their End-of-Year tax submissions by now and updated all your software for this financial year’s payroll.
May looks like it’s going to be quite busy too. The Movement  is running 10 weekly sessions as a Jewish response to the Financial Crisis, Jewish Journeys are organizing a trip to Paris , Lag b’Omer is on the 12th , Shavuot on the 29th  and over in IT we are quietly upgrading our Help Desk, Contact Management system, Fundraising system, various websites as well as doing some serious research into facilities for our fieldworkers (more on that in a few months time).
Luckily, although there’s a lot of work to do, the variety keeps us interested and raring to go!

Files, documents & programs for you to keep

Heres a few highlights of some of the new files available in Community Resources:

  • Handbook - For Synagogue staff
This document contains a wide variety of useful policies that can be used to provide consistency in practice.
  • Seder Resource - A4 Format
Pesach is not just about something that happened a long time ago. It is about what we are doing now. What will we speak out for and against, what actions we can take to further the Jewish values of the seder? We do not know what you are going to decide but we hope that this can give you some ideas.
  • Wedding Order of Service
I was recently asked for a copy of my Wedding Service booklet in MS Word for those who don't have Davka Writer. Well, here it is.

"Dear Lise,

Last night the Ritual Committee showed up for the meeting they’d planned in the library, but the Finance Committee was already there because they thought that they’d reserved it!  It nearly came to blows, and the Ritual Committee had to hold their meeting in the broom closet.  How can I prevent this happening again?
