RSY-Netzer and LJY-Netzer, the Zionist Youth Movements for Reform and Liberal Judaism, together with Pro-Zion, the Progressive Zionist Organisation in the UK, will be sending out a Haggadah insert to Jewish households across the UK. The insert aims to stimulate discussion about the rights of minority groups in Israel by drawing on core Jewish values taken from the Haggadah.  Dowload your copy here

Original Children’s Haggadah at Leo Baeck College Library

The beloved 'Children’s Haggadah' will be used again in tens of thousands of homes around the world this Pesach. Few know, however, that the first edition of this haggadah was published in German in 1933.  A copy of this valuable rare first edition, 'Die Haggadah des Kindes', now resides in the special Hyams Children’s Literature Collection in the Leo Baeck College Library. Responding to the Credit Crunch

The Reform Movement has announced a series of sessions designed to explore Jewish sources in order to help people deal with the anxiety and uncertainty they are facing in the current economic crisis. Reform communities have also been active in offering support to their members. Read more

A Jewish Guide to Fairtrade: Free Download

The Reform Movement is proud to be part of the production of a joint educational resource entitled ‘A Jewish Guide to Fairtrade’ along with Board of Deputies, UJIA, The Pears Foundation, JCC and Tzedek. A number of events are scheduled to mark Yom Ha'azmaut - 61 years of Israeli independence.

Yom Ha'atzmaut 61 Show, Tuesday, 28th April 2009

Yom Ha'atzmaut 61 Show with Nick Ferrari and Mark Maier, also including Kidanza Dance Troupe, school choirs and an IDF entertainment group singing Israel's favourite songs. The show will be preceded by a Yom Hazikaron commemoration in which Head of the Movement, Rabbi Dr. Tony Bayfield will take part.  Read more. Linda Berenson, Leo Baeck College Scholar in Residence is the Early Childhood/Early Intervention and Early Reading Consultant at the Central Intermediate Unit in West Decatur, Pennsylvania. She has been training teachers and principals (head teachers) for over 30 years and has presented throughout Pennsylvania and at many national conferences. Linda has been on the Board of Directors of Parent to Parent Pathways Network and a Past President of the Division of Early Childhood as well as a Member of the  Council for Exceptional Children.
