Tisha B'Av Tonight, Wednesday 29th July and tomorrow, 30th July is Tisha B'Av, the ninth day of the month of Av when we mark the destruction of the two Temples in Jerusalem as well as a number of other disasters which are said to have befallen the Jewish people on this day. Times/Sternberg Life Award James Harding, Editor of The Times hosted tea earlier this month for candidates who had been short-listed for the first Times/Sternberg Active Life award. Sir Sigmund, President of the Movement for Reform Judaism was thanked for his idea to establish an award to honour older people and to celebrate their achievements.
